Can I use Barrdale for repairs not related to my insurance claim or loss?

Yes! Simply click on the submit a claim link and fill out the required fields and details of damage (along with photos, if you have them). We can provide an estimate from photos or a physical inspection (there will be an initial inspection/estimate fee of £50.00 for an onsite inspection or photo evaluation but will be credited back if we perform the repairs).

Repair or replace?

After a fire, you may have smoke or fire damaged furniture, or worse.

In some cases of fires, sometimes there can be additional harm caused by water and chemicals used to extinguish the flames. The combination of water damage, heat, and smoke can sometimes damage certain types of wood beyond repair.

But solid wood is more durable than pressed wood and is usually easier to salvage. Depending on the situation, much of it can be salvaged, we have over a decade of experience in saving fire-damaged furniture.

The fire restoration process requires removing soot and grime from your specific item, the examples being, cleaning smoke-damaged wood, stripping off the existing polishing, de-odorising the timber, sanding the grain clean then we would start the finishing process.

Barrdale Furniture Repairs can revamp a home after a catastrophe of a fire and can help you deal with your loss. We will work directly with your insurance company on the claim, so you do not have to worry.
